I’m from a small town in Texas, that I miss dearly. When I am not working, I am at home taking care of my goats and chickens. Something interesting about me is that in high school I ranked 4th in the world for Breakaway Roping. This is my first time working in veterinary medicine other than my at home experience. I love animals!! Seeing all the cute babies growing up is so rewarding!
Lisa
I am from Ogden but moved up here for school a few years ago. I am currently going to school to get my veterinary technician certification and maybe continue on to vet school someday. In my free time I love to hang out with my siblings. I recently have started swing dancing when I have the time and love to travel and go scuba diving. This is my first time working in veterinary medicine, but I have always been interested in vet med and am so excited to finally be working in the field! My favorite part of vet med is getting to see patients improve and get better over time. And of course, seeing all the little (and not so little) cuties come in.

I was born in Detroit, Michigan, but grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I got married this summer and moved to Utah so my husband could attend graduate school at USU. My favorite things to do are game nights with friends, puzzling, traveling, and going to concerts. I love working with dogs and cats, but my favorite animals are guinea pigs. I graduated from Purdue with a bachelor’s degree in 2022. Worked at a small animal practice for 3 years before moving to Utah. Before graduating, I interned at vet clinics starting in 2018. I enjoy veterinary medicine because I get to help animals and people. I like that I am always learning and problem solving.
Cortney
Cortney joined our team in March 2018 as Animal Care and then moved to a Technician in May 2018. She is from Flaming Gorge, Utah. She graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in May 2018. Cortney has two dogs and one cat: Marley, the Dalmatian Labrador mix; Purdy, the Dalmatian; and Theo, the black and white kitty. She knows how hard it is to have a sick pet and loves being able to help them. Cortney doesn’t like chocolate but will eat anything else that’s sugary!
Melissa
Melissa is from Logan, UT, and joined our team in May 2016 as a Technician. She graduated from Bridgerland Technical College’s Veterinary Assistant program and graduated from Utah State University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science. Arianna
Clinic Care Taker and Technician’s Assistant
I was born in Logan but moved to Reno Nevada until I turned 18 and moved back here. And I love doing diamond art paintings and reading books and baking. Something interesting about me is that I’m a human encyclopedia, I know a lot of things about many areas. This is my first time working in Veterinary Clinic, used to do volunteer work in a kennel walking dogs in Reno, Nevada! When it comes to Veterinary medicine, the medicine part is my favorite! Internal Medicine is just interesting and cool to learn about. And the reason I pursue veterinary medicine is because animals also need and deserve to be cared for and loved too. And I hope that I can make a difference as well.
Mylee
Quality Control Specialist and Technician’s Assistant
I’m from Hyde Park, Utah, where I grew up with rabbits, a cat, and any animals that happened to wander through our yard. I recently got my first dog– an inheritance from my Grandma, and have enjoyed welcoming her into my life full time.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing card games, watching sitcoms, and relaxing with my dog. This is my first experience working on the clinical side of vet med. I graduated from Bridgerland Technical College’s Animal Science Program and am currently attending Utah State University, majoring in Veterinary Science with a minor in Mandarin Chinese.
Working in vet med has placed me in an environment that continually challenges me to grow into the best version of myself so I can help provide quality care to animals and the amazing people who love them. Animals have always been my “happy place,” so joining this team has been a dream come true for 6 year old me!

Other Familiar Faces
Danielle
I’m from Hyde Park, I like to read, and do musical theater. I really like to hike and take my dog Rascal out into nature. I have been working here since I was young, and I grew up coming to work with my parents. I love getting to help people and their animals! I also love getting to help on the floor when needed and snuggle all of the animals.
Christopher
I’m from right here in Cache Valley—grew up in Smithfield and currently in Logan. For hobbies, I’m a bit of a tech enthusiast. I love automating my house and tinkering with self-hosted servers/applications. When I’m not doing that, I’m playing games with my kids or hanging out with my wife. An interesting fact usually surprises people: I was buried in an avalanche when I was a teenager. I survived to tell the tale, but haven’t been snow caving since =] . This is my first time working for a veterinary clinic. One of my favorite things about working at the clinic is seeing how much care the staff gives to the animals.
Kira
I’m originally from Syracuse, Utah but moved up here for school a few years ago. I am an avid baker and also love playing video games with my husband and friends. I absolutely love animals and would adopt every dog/cat if I could! This is my first time in Veterinary Medicine. However, as a kid I have wanted to work with animals so applying for this job was easy. The best part about being in the veterinary field is getting to go to work every day knowing I’m going to see dogs and cats all day.
Shawna
Operations Manager
Hi, My name is Shawna. I am the Operations Manager. I grew up in a small town in Nevada. I have always had a love for animals. I grew up showing animals in 4-H and FFA. Later on in high school I joined my High school rodeo team competing in barrels and proudly supporting my team as their high school rodeo queen. Then I moved to Utah after high school and fell in love with the mountains and all that the valley had to offer. In my years of living in Logan , I worked 17 years at Pepperidge Farm this helped me in becoming the person I am today. I learned a lot of life skills and that I am grateful for the person that it has made me today. I decided a career change was due. I decided to follow my dream of working in the Veterinary field, So when this job as the Operations Manager at Mountain View Veterinary was presented to me , I felt so blessed to be given this opportunity. My goals for this position is to learn as much as I can about each position and broaden my knowledge and skills in this amazing field. I strive to make the business and the people successful in their everyday tasks but most of all I look forward to living my dream and taking in everything this amazing opportunity has to offer me.
